Mufaddal Borhany supports the firm’s work across immigration, asylum, human rights, unlawful detention, public law, family law and civil claims.

Over the past two years, Mufaddal has worked closely with Mr Zainul Jafferji under his direct supervision. He joined initially as a mini-pupil and progressed through the team to become Office Manager and the Paralegal Team Leader. He prepares pleadings, witness statements and evidence bundles, and undertakes detailed research and drafting across proceedings in the County Court, High Court, First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.

He has successfully completed the Bar Training Course, achieving a ‘Very Competent’ grade, which reflects strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Mufaddal also brings cross-jurisdictional experience from Pakistan, having worked on a broad range of contentious and advisory matters. He has advised corporates and individuals on intellectual property protection and enforcement, and on wider regulatory and commercial issues including employment, telecommunications and IT, tax, and corporate compliance. His experience includes hands-on case management and advocacy, with appearances before the District Courts of Pakistan and intellectual property forums.

Alongside practice, Mufaddal has undertaken pro bono work through the UWE Bristol Business & Law Clinic, providing advice to small businesses and start-ups. He speaks Urdu, Gujarati and Hindi, which assists clients in discussing sensitive issues comfortably and clearly.
