Arif Rehman is an Immigration and Human Rights barrister with a distinguished practice spanning both the independent Bar and, prior to call, senior roles in private practice. Before being called to the Bar in 2019, Arif worked as a solicitor at several city firms before founding Mayfair Solicitors, which he led and supervised for over 13 years. This long-standing experience at the helm of a busy immigration practice provides him with a rare depth of understanding of client needs and the demands of complex litigation.
He has a wealth of experience in corporate immigration and the Points-Based System, civil penalties, unlawful detention claims, as well as complex appeals involving minors, vulnerable adults, victims of torture, deportation proceedings, and Article 8 private and family life claims. Arif accepts instructions on a direct access basis and regularly appears before the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, Administrative Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court.
“Arif is a fearless fighter, defending the vulnerable immigrants and insisting their rights are protected. A sharp and persuasive advocate.”
“Arif is absolutely brilliant in client handling, managing their expectations and we would very much like repeating instructions”
